Meet The Doctors
Dr. Jeannine Donahue feels lucky to be able to truly say “I love what I do”. Being a Dentist is more than just fixing teeth. She values the importance of developing a bond and trust with her patients, learning about their families and life experiences.
Dr. Donahue grew up on Long Island, NY where she completed a Bachelor’s Degree at Adelphi University and played NCAA lacrosse. She attended Stony Brook University, obtained her Dental Degree and graduated with the award in Geriatric Dental Care. Dr. Donahue also participated in a dental outreach mission to Chile and served children in Curarrehue.
Upon graduating dental school, Dr. Donahue completed her residency in General Practice at New York Medical College. Here she gained experience working in the Operating Room, Emergency Room and Family Health Clinic at Phelps Memorial Hospital, Westchester Medical Center and Open Door Family Health Center. Her desire for continued learning of implant dentistry, lead her to accept a second year Chief Residency position at Montefiore Hospital in Bronx, NY. Through this program, Dr. Donahue focused on restoring full mouth dental implant rehabilitation cases and cosmetic dentistry.
Prior to joining the Fairfield Dental Arts team, Dr. Donahue worked in private practice in New York under her maiden name Dr. Holz. She is now married to her high school sweetheart. They have escaped the Long Island “bubble” and made the move to Connecticut. Dr. Donahue enjoys spending time with her family, her dog named Jemma and her yellow bearded dragon named Richard.
"The thing I love most of dentistry is the connection I develop with my patients. I believe that great dentistry goes beyond every day oral care. It demands open and honest conversation between doctor and patient, it requires trust. These conversations and the trust that follows allows me to customize each and every patient’s treatment plan to suit all of their needs to provide them with a healthy, and stable smile they can be proud of. There is nothing more rewarding to me than the relationships I forge with my patients and seeing the smile we created together at each and every visit.”
